Mumbai: Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi, who has recently been in the spotlight following the success of Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is set to play a significant role in the upcoming spiritual web series Two Great Masters, created and co-produced by filmmaker and entrepreneur Sonu Tyagi.
The series explores the lives, philosophies, and teachings of two of India’s most revered spiritual icons—Swami Vivekananda and Paramahansa Yogananda. Through a contemporary storytelling approach, the project aims to introduce their timeless wisdom to modern audiences across the globe.
Produced by Approach Entertainment and Juni Films, with support from Go Spiritual, the series is based on the acclaimed book Two Great Masters written by Amrit Gupta.
The project is being directed by Anurag Sharma and Sonu Tyagi. Alongside Rakesh Bedi, the cast includes Anurag Sharma, Deep Sharma, Pavli Kashyap, and Durga Kamboj in prominent roles.
Speaking about the project, Rakesh Bedi expressed his enthusiasm for being associated with the series and praised the source material. He said he was delighted to have the opportunity to present and anchor a project that brings the teachings of two extraordinary spiritual masters to a wider audience.
Sonu Tyagi welcomed the actor’s association with the series, noting that Bedi’s experience and popularity would add further depth to the production. He said the primary objective of Two Great Masters is to share the inspirational messages of Swami Vivekananda and Paramahansa Yogananda with people worldwide.
“In today’s fast-paced and stressful world, the series seeks to encourage mental well-being, positive thinking, inner peace, and spiritual awareness,” Tyagi said.
A Ghaziabad native now based in Mumbai, Sonu Tyagi is an award-winning writer, director, and producer with academic backgrounds in psychology, advertising management, journalism, and filmmaking. He is also the founder of Approach Entertainment, Approach Communications, and Go Spiritual. Recently, he was recognized among leading contributors in the field of mental health at an international mental health conference and awards ceremony.
Tyagi is also associated with several upcoming projects, including the international feature film Liberation as co-producer and the satirical comedy Camp Decent as creative producer. The latter features actors Brijendra Kala, Rajpal Yadav, Sara Khan, and Hemant Pandey.
The makers are planning a large-scale release of Two Great Masters across leading OTT platforms, television networks, and digital channels, aiming to reach audiences interested in spirituality, self-development, and inspirational storytelling.
With a blend of history, philosophy, and contemporary presentation, Two Great Masters aspires to bring the enduring legacy of Swami Vivekananda and Paramahansa Yogananda to a new generation of viewers.
